Meet The Team

Hi! We’re C.J. Redwine and Mary Weber, two bestselling authors, ghostwriters, and publishing professionals dedicated to nurturing writers, whether brand new or multi-published. And we’re glad you’re here!

Together, we run The Writer’s Sanctuary - an all-female-run business that exists to empower and uplift writers. We’re excited to bring you a host of outstanding events, teachings, retreats, programming, and even a secret society(!) to help writers develop their craft, provide opportunity for connection, and build community across all of TWS’ platforms.

  • New York Times bestselling author, speaker, consultant, and coach

C.J. Redwine is a New York Times bestselling author, public speaker, publishing and marketing consultant, ghostwriter, and coach with twelve years experience in teaching all areas of creative writing, publishing, and marketing. She’s especially passionate about helping writers level up their skills and their careers. She’s a diehard fan of going to the movies, keeps a 6 foot tall Loki figure in her office, and will debate the merits of Batman over Superman with anyone she meets. She once punched herself in the face on a ride at Disneyland. She doesn’t recommend it.

  • Bridgette O'Hare

    ANTHOLOGY MANAGING DIRECTOR

Bridgette is a freelance editor, cover designer, and ghostwriter who’s also the bestselling author of four books within The Guardians of Marom series for which she still hasn’t perfected the elevator pitch. Surviving on unhealthy doses of chocolate, excessive episodes of Supernatural, and copious amounts of snark, she spends her time in search of sleep, witty co-conspirators, ways to create chaos for her characters . . . or you may find her instigating shenanigans with her husband along the coast of NC.

  • Rilian Manville

    EDITORIAL & WEB DESIGN

Rilian holds a BA in Psychology from California Polytechnic University. She works with us as a web designer and developmental editor with a focus on character psychology and themes including trauma, PTSD, women’s issues, and complex villains. She lives in San Luis Obispo with her husband, 9 snakes, 2 geckos, and a giant sheepadoodle.

  • Heather Lindahl

    ONLINE GROUP FACILITATOR

Heather is an expert team builder, group coordinator, and foodie chef. When she isn't writing stories or taking care of her family of rescued cats, she can be found playing Dragon Age, watching Forensic Files, or walking on the beach.

  • Emily Hayse

    INDIE PUBLISHING EXPERT

Emily is the award-winning author of seven books, a lover of log cabins, strong coffee, NASCAR, and the smell of old books. Her writing is fueled by good characters and a lifelong passion for storytelling. When she is not busy turning words into worlds, she can often be found baking, singing, or caring for one of the many dogs and horses in her life. She lives with her family in Michigan.

  • Sydney Queen DeTellis

    EVENT STAFF

Sydney is a graduate of Belmont University with a BA in English and has been obsessed with books ever since an elementary school librarian tried to ban her from the YA section. She resides in Myrtle Beach with her husband and what some people say is too many cats.

  • Hannah Hudson

    VIRTUAL ASSISTANT

Hannah has worked with C.J. in various roles since 2011, most recently as the virtual assistant for The Writer's Sanctuary. When she's not listening to romance novels, she can be found trying new and (often dangerous) hobbies. Hannah lives in Portland, OR with her terrible dog, Sebastian.
